Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. - Chinese company that manufactures digital electronic devices, based in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, China. Meizu is also among the top ten producers in China.

She began her work in 2003 with the production of the players. The first models were her Meizu X6 and the Meizu E3. In Russia, they were not well known, although they are not sold under another brand, and under the brand name.

In August 2005, the company changed its logo, which to this day is printed on each box with appliances from Meizu.

After a good start of the Meizu sales in 2006 introduced the first representative of the M-Series - Meizu miniPlayer M6 (Powerman XL-850). It was a stand-alone product, it was not like the other players (usually Chinese manufacturers copied the design of other well-known companies to create their devices). Player was not deprived of multimedia features, it could: play videos, view images in a fairly high-resolution, read e-books, to catch a radio frequency, record sound and play lossless formats. On it went constantly flashing, which means support for the manufacturer of their products and fixing bugs in the software. The player has a good sound quality, low price and was quite popular.

Starting with the Meizu M9 started using a proprietary shell Flyme (which was originally based on the operating system Google Android 2.3.5), which is very different from the skins of other manufacturers. Currently (03/2016), the latest generation of Flyme 5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Updates to this version of the firmware (see also: Firmware for Meizu - Flyme OS):

Meizu PRO5 - Flyme 5.1.3.0
Meizu MX5Flyme 5.1.3.0
Meizu M3 Note - Flyme 5
Meizu PRO6 - Flyme 5.2.0
